Something Old

I found this song on my computer tonight, a really early phase one-part workout from sometime in late 2008. I used to play this song all the time when it was a solo-style band, but me and Ry came back to it a few weeks ago, and it was just a little too removed from time to play anymore. This song was called "Cemetery Man", "Sampson & Delilah" and "Congregation" before I settled on just calling it what it felt like. Hope you enjoy.

Tape The World

I did a guest mix for this rad blog No Conclusion. It ended up being mostly cassette releases by our friends, though I threw some other weird cassette jams in there as well. There's more than extensive liner notes and a download link here, but then again if you wanna fast forward straight to the songs, you can just download the mix over here.

it's raining chats & blogs!!

Last night's show went really well! City Center ended up playing a three-song set of just guitar and vocals that was 1.) a little unpracticed, 2.) recorded on a cell-phone underwater, in a bad way. For both of these reasons I'm gonna opt out of posting the audio here. However, Ryan got a really nice recording of the Swimsuit set, and here it is for all to peep! Photos by Morgan, jacked from facebook.

New Band: Swimsuit

My new band Swimsuit is playing our first show tonight! It's me, Shelley, Dina (who also plays in Secret Twins, among others) and Amber (formerly of Dos Hermanos, among others) and I am beyond stoked about it. Did you ever watch that show Kids In The Hall? Remember the theme song? All of our songs sound like that. If you're in Michigan, come check it out!!! Ann Arbor house party, 213 E. Kingsley with Annie Palmer, Anna Vogelzang and a band that keeps changing their name.
