East Coastun

From Manhattan we hit up the entire east coast and Canada. Montreal, Hamilton and Toronto were all off the chain and great. I had forgotten how amazing playing in Canada was, and I really hope me and Ry can get out there in the fall. The space in Montreal (pictured above) morphed over the course of 12 hours from living space to raging warehouse party to after hours hash bar to chilly sleeping space to somber reflective/vaguely (but not really) international vibe moment.

K Paws and Jo Jo!!!

After our Market Hotel show and a few days of uncharacteristically hot weather, I jumped over to Billiamsburg to do some lead guitar overdubs with Brian for the World Atlas record. It sounds pretty amazing so far. The next day I was super sick, weak and could barely move. Weird. Keep drinking water, guys!

What's this dreamer dreamin' up now?

My new band. We're pretty heavily influenced by Waavves, Mayyors, that kind of thang.

Tomorrow is May 1st. I'll be back in Detroit for a split second and will have exactly one month left of shows on the Chain & The Gang/Hive Dwellers tour. I'm thinking of new things in scattered fragments daily. Missing all my friends, dreaming of houses and waving my hand out the car window, trying to hold yours.

Oh, hello. I didn't see you there. I was just hanging out drinking some soda on my yellow couch here. How are you? I feel pretty good. A little bit homesick, but then again, a little bit homely. Oh, I do go on, though. What? Yeah, not much. Just hanging out in a van, really. It's pretty cool. Well, if you really want to know...

Red Skies At Dusk, Sailor's Disgust

Writing from a motel in the middle of Pennsylvania. Why hotels be all expanzive as hell now? AT least they got some wireless. Ryan is here and we are jamming through many nights, headed to New York tomorrow morning. Eveeryone please come to the show or better yet come to the Brooklyn jam at Market Hotel in a few weeks. For those who can't, we have a few new songs and we'll be posting an mp3 of the show tomorrow sometime very soon. Here's some recent evidence:
