Ladies & Gentlemen...

We are so pleased to officially announce our first full-length record will be available on Type Records very soon. The record will be released on LP and CD, with a UK release date of May 25th and a US release date of June 8. It will be distributed by Forced Exposure and available directly from Type or by getting in touch with us directly here or on Myspace, etc. There will be some sort of digital media for it as well, just not sure what yet. The record is called "City Center". It's the distillation of every sound and song that we've worked on for the past year and we simply couldn't be more excited about it.

We'll put all the lyrics and specifics up after the record is available, but for now here are the track listing(s) and an mp3. The vinyl is limited to 500 copies and the track listing is a little different from the CD.

oh hey... from before

Totally forgot to mention when we partied with some stormtroopers in Bloomington. Good thing David from Bronze Float sent along the pictures. Also, our radical Cinemat show where the other bands and a vacationing Anna Bond and Chris were the entire audience. SPRING BREAK WAS AMAZING THIS YEAR GUYS!!!!

Shelley found a plant that subsists entirely on oxygen, needing no water, sunlight or other such sustinence. "We could all learn a lot from this plant." She said.

Nite Jewel be rulin.

Love Ethan.

Waaaaaaaves played like every fourteen minutes, but they were really good. At about three in the morning we went into a Jimmy John's to get late-night sandwiches and they had just started a set, so we checked it out while we ate.

We were fortunate to be asked onto the Italy Records/Holographic Resonance/New Detroit showcase with Gardens, Aran Ruth, Celebration, etc. It was kinda out of the way from downtown, so not a ton of folks came out, but we had a really good set and it was great to see all our Detroit homies. There was a team of people meeting before the show in a circuit-bending workshop, and they had some homemade oscillators set up, so we had a really fun glitched-out jam before the showcase started.

Warn sent me this text message: "I'm the Steve Metalcof of NOMO".

Never Better

Leaving in a few short hours for Texas. South By Southwest for the second year in a row, and deeply stoked to be traveling and jamming so much lately. We're doing some really rad shows on the way down, and maybe even more awesome than ever in Austin this time around, so please come by. Most likely you are a friend in a band we're playing with, so I guess I mean... SEE YOU IN TEXAS HOMIE!!!!

Totally sick Todd P show curated by Mike from Blank Dogs/Captured Tracks. We are beyond stoked to be part of this radical lineup. It's free, all ages and not SXSW-affiliated, so no wristband is necessary. Check this shit out:

:: Holographic Resonance / Italy Records Unofficial SXSW Showcase ::
So killer a line up of the New Detroit crew. Check the website here. Not sure when we kick it off, but it starts at 3PM and includes sets by us, Aran Ruth, Genders, Terrible Twos, Silverghost, Celebration, Indian Jewelry, Gardens, Sugarcoats and maybe more. Free, all ages and wristband free as fuck! New Detroit ya heard???

Also, we're leaving on Sunday and driving back up to Michigan, so if anyone has shows on the way up, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, etc ( basically anywhere midwest or any state beginning with the letter "I") and you could let us hop on for gas money or a place to stay, or just to jam for no compensation, that would rule, because we're gonna be coming thru anyway. Holla, or leave a comment.
If you don't check our shit, do yourself a favor and check out Tyjek and our girl Shelley who rules the world with a gentle, astonishing fist.

Realized Index

Show tonight! Free and potentially completely insane. Ran into Josh Quinn the other night and he was like "Last year there was a show at the same spot with some of the same bands! It was awesome! We broke everything and blood was everywhere!!!!" Thank god. Life seemed too long.
See you tonight!!!!!

Let The Beat Build Part IV

West Coast tour was rad! People were amazing, shows were mostly good and everything was almost too easy.

Los Angeles

Randy/Gear

Silk Flowerz

We recorded most of the shows but then fell into a weird pattern of having one amazing show and then one terrible one, almost til the end. The first night in LA was great, as was a recording made by an audience member in Seattle, so those two are here. It's a little self-indulgent, maybe, but live stuff is so different and blown-apart for us than studio recordings, so why the fuck not. Europe '72 Dude!

With some free time in Portland we finally got to Kinkos to print up packaging for our tour CDs. We made 30 copies and brought a bunch of our new 7" on tour and sold all but like 7 of the CDRS and still have some 7"s left. If you need either/or message me at westsideaudio (at) gmail (dot) com and I'll put one aside for you. Or if you bought a CD with no artwork, send me your address and I'll mail you the cover/etc. Sorry so ghetto, just couldn't get everything done before we left.
